We started as a private limited company in the year of 1997, and over the years with the support of our clients we managed to expand into a brand carrying more than 500 products in present day. We specialize in supplying stationery, art & graphic materials and sports equipment, strictly selected from our warehouse or some of the best manufacturers around the globe. Our team believes that service and product quality are equally important, therefore we are committed to be responsible, ethical and to contribute to society and communities in which we operate.
Meet Hobi The Hornbill!
To further strengthen Astar’s brand identity and connect more deeply with young audiences, we introducing our newly designed mascot character—HOBI the Hornbill.
Derived from “Hornbill” and stylized to sound friendly and approachable, HOBI also echoes the Malay word hobi (hobby), which ties nicely to arts, crafts and stationery usage. This cheerful, energetic character embodies creativity, education and Malaysian pride, aligning perfectly with Astar’s core mission as Your Everyday Stationery.
